Private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson announced a majority investment in on-line job board, Vault.com. Vault.com which was growing 30% to 50% a year has revenues reported to be around $9.6 million and is valued at $60 to $85 million.

Gifts.com, a site providing gift ideas and owned by IAC announced the acquisition of GiveFun.com, an online gift certificate provider.

Discovery Communications acquires TreeHugger.com

Discovery Communications, parent company of the Discovery Channel, acquired the “green blog” TreeHugger.com for a reported $10 million. The site reaches approximately 1.7 million uniques a month and is ranked around 7000 by Alexa. The site has about a dozen staffers and it’s content is contributed by over 40 writers around the world.

R.H. Donnelley Corporation acquires Business.com

R.H. Donnelley Corporation, a leading Yellow Pages and online local commercial search company, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Business.com, a business search engine and directory and pay-per-click advertising network.
