WrestleZone.com site acquired by CraveOnline

CraveOnline.com, a lifestyle destination for men featuring video, movies, TV, music, sports, and more with nearly 8.3 million unique visitors per month, announced that it has acquired WrestleZone.com, a source for professional wrestling news and information. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lionsgate’s acquires part of Break.com

A 10-Q filing reveals that earlier this summer, Lionsgate, the major independent film and TV studio paid approximately $21.4 million for 42% of Break.com – an online video site. Lionsgate has an option to purchase the remaining 58% for $58 million in cash or common stock, at the company’s option.

AOL acquires startup Yedda.com

AOL has acquired Israeli start-up Yedda, a social search questions-and-answers service with proprietary semantic matching technology which was launched in 2006 . No financial terms were disclosed.

CNET Buys FindArticles.com from Looksmart

CNEThas bought the news and features archives site FindArticles, from its owner LookSmart, for about $20.5 million. FindArticles.com has about 11 million resource articles from over 3,000 sources, including magazines, journals, trade publications and newspapers.

Forbes Media acquires 51% of RealClearPolitics.com

Forbes Media, corporate parent of Forbes.com, announced that it has acquired a 51% stake in the political website RealClearPolitics.com. The founders will remain owners and management. The site was started in the spring of 2000 and has grown to nearly 1,000,000 unique monthly visitors.

TheStreet.com Acquires BankingMyWay.com and RateWatch.com

TheStreet.com acquired BankingMyWay.com and RateWatch.com for $25 Million in cash and stock. RateWatch is a B2B subscription site targeting banks and credit unions, offering competitive data. BankingMyWay is a consumer site offering information on mortgage rates, CDs, loans and other retail financial products, along with links to money-related content.
